Customer Reviews

Local gem. Come hungry. Leave happy. If you love real comfort food, hometown vibes, and people who treat you like family the minute you walk in -- this is your place. We had the BEST experience from start to finish. The buffet was incredible (crispy fried chicken, catfish, so many sides, fresh salad bar -- all of it was on point), and the menu is huge if you'd rather order. Everything tasted homemade, fresh, and seasoned just right. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. You can tell this place has heart. We even met the owner, Travis, and his mom, Miss Teresa. We can't remember the waitresses name- we think it was Miss Karen-- genuinely good people running a family business the right way. That alone makes you want to support them. We even booked the room for our retirement party in July. They have catering, too! Bonus points: Tons of parking Super clean Friendly staff Buffet + full menu options Extra rooms for private parties, events, and catering Prices that are more than fair This is one of those places you almost want to keep to yourself... but it's too good not to share. We'll absolutely be back. Good food, good people, great memories. Highly recommend.

Bob's Country Cafe is one of those hidden gems! We visited Saint James for the first time and stayed right down the road from Bob's. I'll always choose a diner first when it's an option. There is nothing like delicious local cooking! When we got to Bob's, I'll admit I hesitated. It's this long building off the road with a few classic cars in front from local patrons. I didn't know if my whole family would fit. We walked in and they make you feel right at home. Seat yourself and have some delicious fresh coffee. The waitresses are smiles, the cooks were on point stocking the breakfast buffet. You can choose menu or buffet or both. We did the buffet since we had picky kids. The buffet was phenomenal!!!! A few different potatos done so right; pancakes, French toast, glazed apples, the good bacon and sausages, some fruit on another bar and salad on another. The food here was SO GOOD!! It really set my day right! I am so glad we took a chance on this hidden treasure! I would absolutely go back! Highly recommend!

Came.for breakfast and dinner. Just a small little eatery. Food was great service was fantastic. In the morning even though we were true strangers to the area we were treated like one of the locals. Prices arent bad and potions are decent size. This is not your typical run of the mill small town tiny local eatery. This is a true hidden gem worth stopping at and trying at least one. BTW if you order the pancakes.....be prepared to eat nothing else. Two are about big enough to fill up the biggest country boy.

Awesome place for that homecooked food! The homemade bread was outstanding. We was there on the weekend and they have a buffet . Those truckers that want mom and pop cooking this is a must stop! Don't let these little places be a thing of the past.
